Savion was good friends with Gina, who was a late teen/early young adult at this time. Then there's Savion, a hip teenage boy who joined the show in 1989 and remained part of the cast until 1995. There's Lillian, who appeared on the show in 1990-1993, running a home-based daycare center, where Maria would often leave her daughter Gabi while working at the Fix-It Shop. He remained on the show until 1998, when in the show's 30th season, Alan took over running Hooper's Store, whom still does to this day. Handford was a retired firefighter who bought the store from David in 1989. David Handford was running Hooper's Store during my time watching the show as a little kid. Hooper was long dead by the time I was born in 1988. ![]() This was in the early 1990s, when I was really little. What with the 50th anniversary of "Sesame Street" approaching, and with Colin LooksBack's YouTube video of various retired "Sesame Street" Muppets, I thought I'd do my own blog post about minor or forgotten "Sesame Street" characters, human and Muppet, of my childhood. ![]()
